We have had some interest in The Singing Nurse  songs from an educational music website. We are looking over the contract to see if it is a fit for The Singing Nurse sing along songs.  We have also heard back from Pam Beall  WeeSing co author.

Pam Beall said the following: “The Singing Nurse is a delightful and much needed CD for parents, teachers, and young children.  The health concepts are important and presented in a way that children can easily sing along and remember through fun melodies and catchy accompaniments.  This CD would be a wonderful teaching tool for a health unit in preschool and early elementary school.  It would also be valuable to parents as they teach their children good health habits at home.”

So it looks like things are looking good.  I look forward to keeping you all up to date on everything that goes on…

Stay Healthy,

Ms. Dawn

12 Nurse Visits to the tune of 12 Days of Christmas-Healthy Eating

January 5, 2009 in Children's Health Education

01/05/2009 Jenna and I wanted to have some fun with the 12 Days of Christmas. We wanted to write about eating healthy, because Jenna, other Paraplegic and Quadriplegic patients have concerns about being Regular. We laughed until we cried and learned as we were having some fun.

Listen to the end for a 2009 Happy New Year Message.

Have a Happy Healthy New Year! 2009

June 28, 2008 in Children's Health Education

1-15-10

Do you have songs with certain subjects that you wish were available.  A special ed. teacher stated to me she wished there was a song about not smoking.  Anyone else?

06/28/2008

Hi, Want to know how you as parents, teachers or health professionals educate your children for healthy living? What books, songs, lesson plans, websites, props etc. do you use to get the point across? Please comment.

www.TheSingingNurse.com Well, the final touches have been made to the CD. We are doing all of our own production locally until the demand it too great.

I am very pleased with the quality of the CD face, thanks to the Ginese Boys and Mike S. for their computer skills and for finding the “watershield” CD’s that were made for the inkjet disc printer.

Please pass the word to your family and friends, to teachers and Nurses, and to anyone you know who cares about teaching children good health habits and who wants to have fun doing it.

Please send them to www.TheSingingNurse.com to check out the songs.

The PayPal option should be functioning soon.

Dental Health month is this month, “The Dentist is a Good Guy” and “I’m Gonna Brush My Teeth” are great little toons I know you will find helpful with your youngsters.

Tick season is coming soon, so check out “The Tick Song” while you are here.

Blessing………..Ms. Dawn
